FAQs - for organisations

? My organisation runs an annual event, can we get volunteers to work for a one-off event, or does it have to be ongoing commitment?

- No, one-offs, short term, long term – they’re all fine. As long as you communicate to the volunteer exactly what is involved, and they are happy to commit, it’s a perfect match. Some people are only able to commit for a short period of time, such as school or uni students on holidays, these one-off positions will give them a great volunteer while fitting into their busy life.

?? Does my organisation need any special insurance or anything?

- Yes, your organisation needs to have volunteer insurance to participate in the Take Charge and Volunteer program, but if you already have volunteers involved in your organisation, you probably already have it. Just check with your administrators, or insurance broker.

??? I’m not sure how to go about getting my organisation on the website. What do I do?

- Just click on the purple Sign Up button on the top right of the www.takecharge.org.au website, then fill out the boxes under the Organisation column on the left of screen, and once you’re done, click on Register. And don’t worry, we’re here to help, so if you have any problems email us at admin@reroc.com.au or phone (02) 6931 9050. We’re also holding organisation training sessions throughout the Riverina, so if you’re interested email us on admin@reroc.com.au
